Custom Roof Prisms

Roof prisms are optical prisms with a roof-shaped reflective surface. They are used to fold optical paths and correct image orientation in compact optical systems. Roof prisms are commonly found in binoculars, telescopes, rangefinders, imaging systems and optical observation instruments.

A roof prism can invert and reverse an image while maintaining a compact optical layout. High manufacturing precision is required because the roof angle and surface quality directly affect image performance.

Coating Options
