A combiner lens is a semi-transmissive, semi-reflective Mirror that combines two wavelengths of light into a single optical path by transmission and reflection, respectively. Due to the use of materials such as zinc selenide, zinc sulfide, germanium or quartz coated with optimally designed thin films, combiner lens usually transmit infrared light and reflect visible light. In the CO2 laser industry, the main purpose is to make the red laser light visible, usually by combining the 10.6um infrared laser and the 500-700nm red light into one beam.
